Designing and implementation processes of engineering projects has higher experience than usage of national (domestic) regulations and standard. However, designers and construction executive have used international regulations and standards since long time ago. Therefore, codification of an international regulation was necessary due to reasons mentioned below,

- Unifying the available regulations

- Prevent engineers to use other countries` regulations

- Bring academic and professional credit for a country

- Provide a platform on which researchers conduct various types of research programs

Airport plays an important role in air transport system. Thus, a number of comprehensive regulations about areas surrounding the airport are quite necessary. Taking into account and controlling the issues correlated with airport and its lands is one of the main topics of researchers` and construction executives` concern.
